HOME OF THE PERFECT BROW

Microblading is an extremely meticulous process that takes around two hours to complete. Since the results will last for up to 2 years before beginning to fade, it is good to have a technician who pays much attention to detail and has outstanding technique. At the end of the appointment a follow up “touchup” appointment will be set 4-6 weeks following the first appointment.

During the first hour I shape and draw the perfect brow using the Madluvv Technique with removable pencil and numb your brows.

After your brows are numb, the microblading process starts and usually lasts for 30-45 minutes where a topical anesthetic is applied 1-2 more times during the treatment. This topical anesthetic will relieve most of, if not all pain! If you can even feel anything, pain is comparable to tweezing your eye brows.

At the end of the appointment a follow up “touchup” appointment will be set 4-6 weeks following the first appointment. You will walk out with amazing brows and no down time!

After microblading, the color will appear a little darker than the desired outcome for about 5-7 days.

A packet of ointment is given to you at the end of the appointment. It is advised to put the ointment on 2 x a day (morning and night) for the first 7 days.

At your 4-6 week touchup appointment, we will go over the brow once more, darkening the color and evening out the tones throughout the brow.

Microblading is low maintenance. After healing, you can rub, shower, swim, workout and wake up with perfect brows. No special care is required, except for a brief touch-up once every 1-2 years.

AFTER THE PROCEDURE

If you are pregnant, you must have a signed release from your doctor (most doctors will approve of this treatment since microblading only deals with the superficial skin layers.)

It is advised that Botox should be given 3 weeks prior or 3 weeks after this procedure.

Skin treatments such as Retin-A, anti aging products and acne medication that thin the skin in the procedure area must be discontinued (around the brows) for at least 30 days prior to the procedure.

Accutane users must be off of Accutane for at least one year.

THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES, PLEASE CONSULT WITH ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

Apply ointment 2 x a day (morning and night) for 7 days. Use a clean q tip to apply. Remember to make it look like chapstick, not lipgloss.

Wear a hat and sunglasses in the sun. After the procedure heals, use sunscreen to prevent future fading of pigment color.

Avoid contact with water and steam (shower, pools, etc) in the procedure area until the procedure heals - Avoid exercise that causes sweating until the procedure area heals.

Do not rub the procedure area while it is healing.

During the first hour I will shape and draw the perfect shape with removable pencil. That’s the longest part and the most important step- SHAPE IS EVERYTHING. During this time, I will give you the best customized shape for every client and consult with the client before the microblading process starts. Before the microblading process begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic. This anesthetic numbs your brows and during process. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it's relatively painless and only momentary.

The microblading process itself can take 30 minutes to an hour (I always strive toward perfection and will not stop until my client is in love with their brows!)

THE PROCESS

Your new set of brows will be ready for a selfie immediately after the process, there is no downtime!

After microblading, the color will appear darker than it will eventually be because the pigment takes around seven days to fully penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. On day 7-10, a natural exfoliation takes place and the crusted top layer of skin will peel off leaving a softer, lighter color. The result is a natural looking enhancement. As the treated area is settling down, itching may occur. Itching is good, which is a goof indication of healing.

At your 4-6 week touchup appointment, we will go over the brow once more, darkening the color and evening out the tones throughout the brow.

AFTERCARE

Apply a thin layer of ointment to 2x a day to prevent excessive dryness, and use a clean cotton swab for each dip into the ointment, no double dipping! Apply after care product sparingly for one week following the procedure (or until scabs have completely healed)- this will allow the tissue to heal more quickly. The after care product is used to prevent infection and minimize crusting.

STAY OUT OF THE SUN. If you must be outside, wear a hat and sunglasses. After the procedure heals, use sunscreen to prevent future fading of pigment color.

Avoid contact with water (shower, pools, etc) in the procedure area until the procedure heals - Avoid exercise that causes sweating until the procedure area heals.

Do not rub the procedure area while it is healing, pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue.

Avoid makeup, lash/brow tints, and other facial treatments until the procedure heals (5-7 days). Very gentle facial washes and treatments are acceptable after 24 hours as long as the procedure area is avoided.

Avoid any clothing that may irritate the procedure area .

Color intensity is high immediately after the procedure. Over next 2-3 weeks, the color may lighten up by 50%.Your permanent cosmetics will begin to turn darker immediately and for the next 3-4 days. After this, the color will settle back to the original color you chose.

It is normal for some people to have pigment scab or flake off. It is also normal if it does not. Fading or loss of pigment may occur during the healing. There should be pigment under the skin where the pigment has flaked off. If there is no pigment underneath, you may need a touchup.

Pigment may come off on your pillow while you sleep, and may stain linens. Use a clean cover that you won’t mind staining if this happens.

Symptoms of infection or adverse reaction are very rare. They include: excessive redness, swelling, tenderness of procedure site, elevated body temperature, rash, or purulent drainage from the procedure site. If you experience symptoms of infection or adverse reaction, seek medical attention immediately. Please note that some redness, swelling, and tenderness is normal.

Touch-ups should be scheduled about 4-6 weeks post procedure. All permanent cosmetic procedures are a two-step process. Results are not determined until a touch-up application is completed • Please avoid on your new microbladed eyebrows all anti-aging and or acne products that actively stimulate, lighten or brighten the skin.
