I’ve contemplated getting this for a very long time. I finally did and was so excited. The applicator doesn’t apply the color very well. It was so frustrating, I could barely get any out. Maybe I just got a defective batch, I’m not sure.

Thank you so much for sharing this — I'm so sorry the applicator isn't working properly for you. That's definitely frustrating, especially after waiting so long to try it 🤍. First note the pomade is located inside the cap so you will want to twist the sponge in the cap a few times to get more pomade on it!
Here's what usually fixes this right away:
When the pigment isn't flowing properly, try twisting and pressing the sponge at the same time (a little more firmly than usual). Do this several times in a row — it helps break through any barrier so the product loads onto the stamp much more easily.
If that doesn't solve it, it definitely sounds like you may have gotten a defective batch, which does happen occasionally. If thats the case we'd love to make this right for you since we know how excited you were to try it.
